On March 6th, 7th and 8th, 2019 UMSU will be holding their 2019 General Election for the following positions:

- – Vice President Community Engagement
- – Vice President Student Life
- – Vice President Advocacy
- – Vice President Finance and Operations
- – Indigenous Students’ Representative
- – International Students’ Representative
- – LGBTTQ* Representative
- – Women’s Representative
- – Accessibility Students’ Representative
- – Mature Students’ Representative
The following 5 positions: President, Vice President Community Engagement, Vice President Student Life, Vice President Advocacy and Vice President Finance and Operations, can campaign as a slate. A slate is a group of candidates who are running together with the aim of being elected to serve together as a group in the offices for which they have been nominated and for which they will appear on the ballot in the UMSU Election.
Voting will open online at umsu.simplyvoting.com on March 6th, 2019 at 8:30 am and close on March 8th, 2019 at 4:30 pm. A polling location will be available from 10 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in front of the UMSU Office (101 UMSU University Centre) on each of the voting days.
If you are interested in a position, nomination packages can be found online, picked up at the UMSU Offices (101 UMSU University Centre) or the CRO’s Office (102-O University Centre) on February 5th, 2019 at 8:30 am. The UMSU Nomination Package must be returned to the CRO’s office by February 15th, 2019 at 4:30 pm.
The official results will be available online at umsu.simplyvoting.com after voting closes on March 8th, 2019.
