Alpha Delta Pi is a sisterhood of amazing women supporting one another in our collegiate experience. We work together to improve ourselves, our community and our futures. We our the First, the Finest and Forever.
The Adelphean Society was founded on May 15th, 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia. This society was the first secrety society for women, creating the phrase “First, Finest, Forever.” Our name was later changed to Alpha Delta Pi and we eventually joined the National Panhellenic Conference as one of 26 different sororities.
Membership in Alpha Delta Pi means improving ourselves in leadership, scholarship, sisterhood, and service to others. For 165 years, Alpha Delta Pi has been an ever-growing sisterhood, a creation of a family that were once strangers, and a home away from home. Being a part of this organization means graduating as a better person than you were when you first walked onto campus. We encourage and support each others’ goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Over 235,000 women call Alpha Delta Pi home in more than 155 active Chapters internationally.
Being a member of Alpha Delta Pi does not end with graduation. With over 150 alumnae associations, your sisterhood and membership experiences truly last a lifetime. Whether it’s through reminiscing on fond memories, having your sisters as bridesmaids, or attending Chapter events as an alumnae, being a diamond is forever.
Beta Theta Chapter
The Beta Theta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was founded at the University of Manitoba in 1930 and we are currently only one of two Canadian Chapters. As a Chapter, we are dedicated to the values of scholarship, leadership, sisterhood, and service, and we strive to implement such principles into our daily lives as Alpha Delta Pi women.
