The University of Manitoba Pre-PA Society is run by current students attending the university and made for all students interested in the Physician Assistant (PA) Profession. The society will bring attention to a new yet critical role in medicine that is Physician Assistants. The Physician Assistant program was only recently introduced to the healthcare field and this group aims to help clarify or answer questions relating to the program through collaborations. Through different events in collaboration with current PA students and practicing PA’s, members of the society will learn about the profession as a whole. Members can look forward to gaining knowledge about general admission requirements, mentorship from recently accepted students and insight of different clinical work from practicing PA’s in different specialties. The Pre-PA Society intends to present the new profession to students interested in a career in healthcare with an emphasis on the Masters of Physician Assistant program offered at the University of Manitoba in the Rady Faculty of Science. This newly established group hopes to share knowledge and encourage a sense of respect to the wonderful profession of Physician Assistants.

Disclaimer: The Pre-PA Society is not affiliated with the University of Manitoba Masters of Physician Assistant Program. Furthermore, the society does not guarantee admissions to the highly competitive program at any institution. The group’s goal is to provide support and build a sense of community for individuals that share a common interest in the Physician Assistant profession.
