The University of Manitoba Nigerian Students’ Association (UMNISA) was created to gather Nigerian students together for both social and academic support. We will organize events to welcome new Nigerian students and other international students at the University. UMNISA gives us the chance to celebrate our culture and share it with the student body and the willing public. We aim to organize a peer to peer support system within our community giving people the chance to assist each other settle in a new environment. The group will provide services and support for students who are facing academic difficulty as well as those looking to network outside of the Nigerian community. We also aim to foster enthusiasm within the Nigerian student body to participate in events held by the various other student body organizations.
