University of Manitoba Indigenous Concerns on the Environment (UMICE)

The University of Manitoba Indigenous Concerns on the Environment Club (UMICE) will be a services and support group for Indigenous and non-indigenous students. UMICE shall seek to represent Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples on all issues regarding environmental awareness on and off campus and to bring consciousness to the greater Indigenous community environmental issues. UMICE will support and further the understanding of Indigenous traditional ecological knowledge on and off campus.
Our vision is to achieve Indigenous environmental excellence by working with Indigenous communities, students, and faculty to efficiently build partnerships with Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in order to bring forth the importance of traditional land and environmental knowledge and teachings.
