UMSAE Polar Bear Racing Electric is the youngest team of the UMSAE organization. Polar Bear Racing designs an open wheel electric formula style race car each school year to compete in internationally renowned competitions around the world hosted by SAE International and it’s associates. This provides students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and take their skills to the next level. The unique challenges of designing an electric vehicle require the skills of a variety of engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical and computer engineering.
